Bromyard Rugby secured bragging rights with a fine 28 – 10 home win over local rivals Ledbury. 250 people who sat down to a pre- match Chairman’s lunch enjoyed some fine speakers and a lovely meal courtesy of Elaine’s Kitchen. With probably this number of supporters again arriving for the match the home team were quickest out of the blocks. Galvanised by an outstanding first twenty minutes from Will Tomkins Bromyard stormed in to a 16 – 0 lead. The first try saw Tomkins make ground before Josh Ridley crossed the line in the corner. Following a Bobby Ralph penalty Alex Parker then made a strong break to put James Mitchell in for the second. Not to be outdone Ledbury gained momentum and reduced the deficit with a try and penalty of their own just before half time.

The period after half time turned in to something of a stalemate with the Bromyard lads tackling like demons and nullifying everything that Ledbury threw at them. Bromyard then confirmed their bonus point win with further tries from Toby Rivers and Alex Parker.
