Junior Section
Welcome to the Bromyard Junior Section. The present mini/midi/youth sections seem to me like a second generation in the history of B.R.F.C. Many of the people who founded the club in 1981 and have helped drive it forward over the years are now seeing their children benefit from the first-class facilities available to us now. Many new faces have joined along the way and are adding to the unique family atmosphere that is Bromyard.
This season has seen the establishment of a separate junior section committee and the appointment of dedicated coaches for each age group. We now have twenty-one fully-qualified coaches and referees and more helpers awaiting the chance to attend courses. Managers assist in all age groups. Their role is to take the pressure off the coaches by helping with organisation and administration.
The club follows the RFU continuum, which gradually develops the game from Under Sevens tag rugby to the full contact game of youth rugby.
The main aim of Bromyard Junior Section is ENJOYMENT. I would like to think that by joining Bromyard the children are making friends and becoming team mates for life. At the same time they are improving their skills and fitness levels in a friendly, safe environment.
