BROMYARD
RFC
Junior Section
Once again, we’re at that point in the summer where the Rugby season is banging at the door.
Before I start, I would like to thank all officers, coaches, and managers for all their hard work, effort & support for last season. What these guys do voluntarily is incredible, and all of their hard work is what makes this club the success it is today. The quality of the rugby and the unique atmosphere created both on the field and in the clubhouse is the envy of many a visiting club, and is growing strength by strength, week in, week out, so a massive thank you goes out to all involved. This also goes out to the parents, who’s valued support during those cold, wet, winter mornings and those frost bitten nights has been impeccable. This was shown when we had our presentation day and presentation evening, housing over 100 parents and children on both occasions.
Firstly I would like to welcome new comers to the club. Bromyard RFC is a well established club with a successful 1st and 2nd XV, which of late seams to be pulling in fresh faces, with fresh ideas. Over the last couple of seasons, drive and ambition of the club has pushed it to new heights which in turn has the unique knock-on affect passed down to the junior section. Our junior section boasts 2-4 coaches in each age group all of which are CRB checked and RFU qualified, creating a safe haven. Age groups are not over sized, giving your child plenty of game time and a more concentrated style of coaching, so nobody is left out.
Here at Bromyard RFC, we aim to create am atmosphere for the whole family to enjoy,
boy or girl, under 7 – under 16, Mums and Dads, our facilities are second to none. We have a beautiful clubhouse, with 4 changing rooms, a brand new state of the art kitchen and a function room for after match entertainment.
This year sees me go into my third season as chairman of the junior section. I take this position on with pride and ambition to improve and grow, continuing the success of Farmer Parker, whilst maintain the fantastic reputation this club has built.
One thing I’ve learnt is that rugby is not just a sport; it’s a community, a family, of which I’m privileged to be part of.
So from me, and on behalf of us all at Bromyard RFC, have a fantastic season 2011/2012.
All the best
Jimmy Dinshaw
Junior Section Chairman & Head Coach
