Junior Section
Firstly I’d like to welcome you all to another new
and exciting season at Bromyard Rugby Club.
There have been a few changes in the Youth Section
since last season, one of which sees Farmer Parker step down, and me
stepping in to fill those rather large boots of his. I don’t need to
remind you what an amazing job Farmer did at our Club, starting with one
team not long ago, to creating a youth section with 150+ members. So from
all here at our rugby club, I’d like to say a big thank you from the
bottom of our hearts.
I joined Bromyard Rugby Club around ten years ago,
coaching in the youth section for six of them. I see this opportunity as a
great privilege and a huge honour, as it gives me a chance to put back
into a club that has given so much.
I look forward to the season of 2009/10 with ambition
and drive to continue the good work Farmer started with a big recruitment
drive, working closely with local schools in Bromyard and surrounding
areas from Tenbury Wells to The Chantry at Martley. We are also lucky
enough to have a good close link with Worcester Warriors, working with
them closely, offering coaching sessions around our schools and at our
club on a weekly basis.
Registration Day is on the 6th September at 10am at
our clubhouse – everyone’s welcome – boys, girls, parents, or just
rugby lovers looking for social fun. Come down and see our facilities and
experience a family-orientated club. Here at our club, there’s no such
thing as strangers, just friends you haven’t met yet.
For the new kids joining our club, we are offering the first three weeks as a free trial period, so come down and meet all of our RFU qualified coaches and have some fun.
