BROMYARD RFC

Chairman's Message

Playing
We have successfully run two teams this year, we are currently looking for a coach for the coming season yet again.  If players are not going to commit to training we are going to have a different coach every year if we can find one.

Junior Section
Teams from U7 to U15. Last years membership was in excess of 180

We are currently investigating the possibility of starting an U19’s this season, anyone interested in playing or helping out should contact me.

Congratulations to all of the Junior Committee, Coaches Team Managers and everyone else who has helped last season.

We need more senior players to get involved with the training of the junior teams in particularly from U13 upwards where there recent playing knowledge can be utilised.  Part of the reason we lost the U16’s last year was no one wanted to coach them, this is the critical age for Bromyard to grow.

Financially
We have invested £6000 on pitch drainage, £3000 on a tractor and we are committed to spending another £7000 on pitch drainage.  £6000 of this is being paid by the RFU.

Improvements I would like to do over the next twelve monthes are:-

Replace the Gas Cooker
Install a moveable partition
Finish wood cladding around the room
Major service on Shower Boiler
Floodlighting

All of these things are within our grasp but I need some help, the partition is something I hope we can build and erect ourselves.  All I need are volunteers.

Floodlighting is going to be ongoing and hopefully we can get most of it sorted in time for the start of the season.

Finally I would like to thank the committee, sponsors, helpers and all members that have helped out during the season.

Can I remind everyone that we are trying to get all members e-mail addresses so that we can keep you all better informed of fixtures, news and events.  But to do this we must have your e-mail.  Can I request all members to forward me a mail at the below address then we can add you to our database.

Finally I am sure most of you are aware that June Morris suffered a stroke during the spring and is currently in hospital rehabilitating.  On behalf of the club I would like to wish her all the best to a full recovery.

Anyone wishing to contact me, can do so on:-
