BROMYARD RFC

Captain's Message

I was delighted to be voted in as first team captain at the AGM and consider it an honour. The new season is just around the corner and I am looking forward to making it a successful one, both for the first team and the rest of the club.

As a firm believer in training being the key to success on the field, I would urge every player, at whatever level, to come to the start of training on Tuesday 17 July at 7pm. Currently we do not have a coach but we will have one appointed by then. His appointment will add a new dimension to the club and he deserves your full support. I am determined to give the season a good start and maintain our performance right through to the final whistle at the last game.

Playing rugby for Bromyard is about having fun both on and off the pitch and, with the help of other members, I look forward to generating a great club spirit which means we enjoy it even more. This will attract more players to the club and I would ask you to bring along anyone who may be interested in playing to training, social functions, or for a drink when I will be keen to let them know what we have to offer.

For this season, we need to get both teams working together and adopt a squad approach. This will strengthen both sides and lay the foundation for a future return of the 3rd team.

Here’s to great season.
